Lauren has dedicated her career to healthcare communications. However, it wasn't until her diagnosis of type 1 diabetes five years ago that she gained a profound, personal understanding of just how transformative scientific breakthroughs and medical innovations can be for living with chronic conditions.
Navigating this new reality opened Lauren's eyes to the life-changing impact these advancements can have on disease management and quality of life. For Lauren, healthcare communications represents far more than just relaying information - it's an opportunity to foster vital connections, shape perceptions and ultimately accelerate adoption of the innovations that hold immense potential for enhancing quality of life. This conviction fuels her daily efforts.
Lauren most recently served as Managing Director at MacDougall Advisors, where in addition to working closely with clients, she led the agency’s media relations practice. Lauren has guided numerous companies through company and product launches, skillfully orchestrating comprehensive campaigns encompassing naming, branding, positioning, content development, website creation and media relations.
Prior to joining MacDougall, Lauren worked at PR agencies where she led clients’ product launches, consumer awareness campaigns and scientific regulatory approvals. Lauren graduated from Colby College, cum laude, with a degree in English. Lauren's academic foundation in communications and critical thinking and her innate storytelling abilities, coupled with a deep understanding of branding and audience engagement, position her as a trusted partner for organizations seeking to amplify their narratives and cultivate meaningful connections.
